Okay. Today I have five things.
1. Go over to Sea of Shoes NOW and ogle at Jane's recent post of pictures of her bedroom. Look. At. All. Those. Shoes. It's insane. If you're being lazy and can't find the energy required to drag your cursor over to your search bar, here is the link!
Yes, so, I haven't been blog stalking a little while (shocker!), so I've been getting back into the swing of things. So, I read my usuals (The Glamourai, Karla's Closet, Style Rookie, Vanilla Scented, Fashion Toast, etc.) and I finally get to Sea of Shoes. First I'm freaking out over how incredibly THIN that girl is (which you can see in her Zebras and Alligators post) and her gorgeous Norma Kamalli coat. (below)
Isn't it beautiful? I'm sort of into that whole old school vibe; poufy skirts with tucked in loose tops with a belt at the waist. It gives you the ultimate hourglass silhouette, doesn't it?
2. O.P.I.'s Tease-y Does It. Got a pedi in that color and it's so pretty! It's almost a chocolate brown with flecks of red (amount other color) sparkles...
Anyway, it looks purple. No duh, right? Which brings me to pedicures... Since my finger nails are uber short because I play piano (yes. one of my many talents), they look really scary which I paint them. Which leaves my little toesies. Yes. That is a new word. I enjoy pedicures because they can even make my mother's feet look attractive. It's really quite an accomplishment. PLUS the little foot massages they give you are divine. :)
3. Betsey Johnson. Ever since I entered that little drawing contest over at Sea of Shoes, I've been absolutely obsessed with Betsey Johnson. Her dresses are so colorful, and vibrant on the runway, and the ones she has for sale on her website are so fun and flirty. I want one for my grad dress more than anything! Here are some of my favs from the website.
The last two are my favorites. :D And just now, I noticed it's the same model in all of those pictures... Coincidence? Probably.
4. Rupert Sanderson. Since I've started stalking the Outnet, I've noticed some of his shoes popping up. And I LOVE them. Particularly, I love these two(which come in my size, and cost a little under $300 a pair on this website).
Aren't they lovely? I'd wear them with anything! Except for... Never mind. I'd wear them with anything.
5. Clique eyeliner in Starry Plum. Got this eyeliner a few weeks ago, and I'm back for more. Such a pretty color with brown eyes, and it doesn't go on too dark. Great for smokey eyes as well, because it smudges pretty easily. And, it's less than $15 at Sephora, Macy's, or Boston Store! Go figure!
Annnnd I think that might have been the most amateurish type blog post I've ever written. Ah, well. It makes up for all the days I haven't been posting. My bad. :3

Today is August 5, 2026
Quote of the day:
"Anything you dream is fiction, and anything you accomplish is science. The whole history of mandkind is nothing but science fiction."
~Ray Bradbury
Fashion quote of the day:
"'Style' is an expression of indiviualism mixed with charisma. Fashion is something that comes after style."
~John Fairchild
Just so those who don't know what 'charisma' means (I know I didn't before looking it up), here is the dictionary definition.
cha·ris·ma
–noun, plural .
1. Theology . a divinely conferred gift or power.
2. a spiritual power or personal quality that gives an individual influence or authority over large numbers of people.
3. the special virtue of an office, function, position, etc., that confers or is thought to confer on the person holding it an unusual ability for leadership, worthiness of veneration, or the like.
Origin:
1635–45; < LL < Gk, equiv. to char- (base of cháris favor, charÃzesthai to favor; akin to yearn, exhort) + -isma -ism
—Synonyms
2. charm, magnetism, presence.
Yup. Pretty clear.
Well, after actually having to look something up (the horror) I believe I will just leave you all with a good song with interesting costumes and leave it at that for the fashiony part of this blog.
Enjoy.

I first say this video on a friend of mine's blog (Jessica) and I fell in love. I really enjoy the different makeup, along with the whimsical outfit+jewlrey pairing. Reminds me of Kelly Framel, whom I adore.
Mmmk. I shall be going now.

These four walls have damned me
Urg I feel so writer blocked-ish. O.o State testing this week, which means barely any homework for Amy(not that I had a ton of it before, but still).
Since I don't really have anything to talk about today, you readers will get to read some of my day to day ranting, followed closely by some 'inspirational' pictures. Ready? Okay, here goes.
Rant, rant, rant.
Okay. All done. :)
I started off trying to type up some long and meaningful post that might end up explaining the meaning of life and Kepler's Law in one go, but no such luck. It ended up sounding like a six year old wrote it. Yippidee doo.
On to the 'inspiration.'
I've noticed that a ton of the pictures in my inspiration folder are almost all either black and white photographs, or paintings. How strange. Personally, I think I've been sort of attracted to the romantic vibes that black and white pictures seem to have. Enough of my rambling.
Wistful painting, bat diagram, bubbble gum bright editorial, and a gorgeous green capelet. Too bad that capelet is in a museum, or I swear I would steal it.
Are you inspired yet?

Love like woe
Oh. My. Goodness. I am such a slacker! This is my fourth post this month! MY FOURTH??? WTF??? It's the 16th for crying out load. Goodness. That averages out to one post for every four days. Let's hope that number will go up, shall we?
I've recently been taking a cue from the Glamourai (Kelly Framel) and have been redecorating my room with the color scheme of black, white, silver, gold, and brown. And blue. By parents refuse to let me paint my walls white, so I'm stuck with draining all color from everything but the walls. Ah, well. It's coming along nicely. This past weekend I got some different odds and ends (bookends, hourglass, pencil holder, table lamp, jewlrey hooks, picture frames, etc.), but I still have so much still to get! Right now, the list comes to a desk lamp, a floor lamp, a reading chair, a pillow for said reading chair, a bedside table, and some postersize black and white pictures of my friends to cover up the paintings of flowers that ended up on my walls oh, so many years ago. I don't think I liked it then either, because I started covering them up with posters and shelves of stuffed animals.
I've just been sort of bored lately, and have been spending a lot of time on Polyvore. Here are some of the collages I've made. They don't really make sense, and they don't look all that great, but it's more about the stuff in them, ya know?
I made other ones as well, but some are even worse, and others I didn't actually end up publishing. Ah, well. Off to do my homework. Spanish homework+WKCE Testing+me=torture.
Post tomorrow (hopefully)

Just like Jesse James
Okay, well, I haven't really been keeping up with this blog lately... Sorry. :P I've just been working on this one story a lot. I've also been listening to a bunch of old Cher songs: If I Could Turn Back Time, Just Like Jesse James, You Wouldn't Know Love, etc.
I don't really know why I'm so drawn to her music now. Maybe it's because she was sorta like Lady Gaga, in her own way, in her own day. I mean, her outfits are definitely a little out there, and some of her songs are a little risque (namely Love on a Rooftop). I mean, she wasn't plain out saying 'I wanna take a ride on your disco stick,' but for her time she was still kind of a bad ass.
I really like the first music video here because of the different layering and such. Along with the old time-ish (not that 1989 was insanely long ago, but still) look to the video quality. I like that about old stuff, cuz I is an antique luver.
Must be going now. No fashion-y type stuff for today. :(

No one morns the wicked.
I've never actually seen the musical, but we're singing a Wicked arrangement in choir, and I fell in love with this particular song, so I thought I'd quick post before school. Post tomorrow!

The Pieta
I'm sort of sad, mainly because of two reasons.
1. Views and comments are down by a lot.
2. The Christian Louboutain shoes I was dying to get on the OutNet just sold out in my size.
Please remember that I do enjoy hearing from you guys! Please comment! See a necklace you like? Comment. Don't agree with my opinion on a fashion show? Comment. Just want to say hi? COMMENT. I'm a writer. I thrive on feedback. So please. Feed the monster. :[
Anyway, found this creepy little... thing in my mom's wardrobe. Thought it might actually be enjoyed by someone here on the internet, so I figured it was worth a post.
It's sorta out of focus, cuz I was in a hurry to take this photo, and my hand was shaking. O.o Don't ask me why, cuz I am not sure.
So. Yeah. That's all I really got today. I'll try to have little more for you to read next post, and I'll hopefully talk about my trip to Chicago (yeah, I did a weekend).
Until then, dearies.
